Viveca is a self-taught fine art photographer drawn to small details, to lost, abandoned and broken objects, and to the emotional and physical interplay of darkness and light. Her images often evolve as she works, beginning with a simple idea but shifting direction as she layers photographs, textures, scanned documents, and subtle shading. Unexpected blends between images are central to her creative process, allowing her to produce work that evokes emotion and encourages viewers to question their sense of the world.

Her photographic distinctions include a Licentiateship from the Royal Photographic Society in 2010, an Associateship in 2011, and a Fellowship in 2014. She was awarded a Fellowship by the Irish Photographic Federation in 2021 and a second FRPS, in the Contemporary genre, in 2024.
