About the Book
Robert Warren Loberg (December 1, 1927 – October 3, 1999) was an American artist and teacher. His work is associated with post-WWII abstract expressionism and color field painting in the San Francisco Bay Area. From the 1950s to the 1980s he lectured, taught and exhibited works in museums, universities and a wide variety of galleries in the Bay Area, in addition to numerous exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad. He received his BFA and MFA from the University of California, Berkeley, and was a 1982 National Endowment for the Arts Fellow. His work is included in the collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Oakland Museum of California, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Lowe Art Museum and Henry Art Gallery.
