About the Book

In the fall of 2008, Robert Morris University’s department of Media Arts offered it first Documentary Photography course as part of the new BFA, BA and minor in Photography. Each student enrolled in the course planned and carried out a documentary photography project with the classes overall theme. Since this November marks 250 years since the naming of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh region was selected as the classes overlaying theme. This book a class project is a sampling of the best works of each the photographer’s projects.
