    About the Book

    Edit

This is the true story of a young Australian bloke who at the turn of the century like many of his mates, left his home in the Australian outback and walked the dusty roads to the recruiting centre to join the Australian Light Horse and go to fight another country's war thousands of miles away in another world.
From the blockhouses, barbed wire and skirmishes of the South African veldt during the Boer War to the slaughter at Gallipoli and the long rides in the deserts of the Middle East during World War One. From the stinking trenches of Rhododendron Spur to the charge at Beersheba. From the Battle of Romani to the liberation of Jerusalem and everything in between. This is the story of Ben Ragless, an Australian Light Horseman.
