I began my photography career as a staff photographer, filling photography positions at several LA newspapers, which provided me with many opportunities to photograph interesting and exciting moments of photojournalism. Fulfilling my dream, my career vaulted to the LA Times where I was the Page One Photo Editor until leaving the paper in 1999. With two Pulitzer prizes and a brighter understanding of photography, I was ready for a change from my newspaper career.
