Three weeks on Tenerife in December 2015. Enjoying the sun, the sea and the scenery. Tenerife really is quite fantastic. Between the dry sea level country, and the top of El Teide at 3718 m, there is lush and green Alp-like terrain. The island also offers a large number of picturesque villages, with pale, weather-beaten exteriors. Vilaflor was a favorite in this category. And of course, El Teide is an amazing experience. (If you forget about the the three-hour line to the tram).
