    Sue Macpherson
    Dorset,UK

Sue Macpherson was born in Dar-es-Salaam and grew up in Africa. She was 14 when she was given her first simple camera and taught the basics of darkroom work. This inspired her lifetime love of photography which has combined well with her passion for travelling to wild, remote destinations. Sue is a social documentary photographer who enjoys working both digitally and with traditional black and white images. In 2007 she completed a major, two-year, documentary project on Abbotsbury Swannery and gained her Associateship of The Royal Photographic Society. Each year Sue works as a volunteer in Uganda for The Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, photographing all the charity's projects. In 2016 Sue completed her Masters at the Arts University Bournemouth and celebrated the opening of her documentary project 'LOOK'. Her work for this was awarded the MA Photographic Prize. Over the last 17 years Sue has taught photography at Bryanston School.
