This book is much more than just a "cookbook" it is labor of love and respect, created by Chrissy Bundy and Cathy McCarthy with the assistance of many other McCarthy family members. Not only does it contain recipes but also included are pictures of family members, old and young living and dead, who contributed to this book's creation.



Our family is blessed with good cooks, and food was always a big part of our family gatherings. Holiday meals were feasts beyond compare, and summer gatherings could feature anything from seafood fresh from local waters, to barbecue cooked with a master's touch. The kitchen in most of the family homes in White Oak seems to be a gathering place when ever visitors are present.



There is almost always something on the stove, or something being prepared, vegetables fresh from the garden, sometimes wild game, or a simple evening meal. This book is a tribute to all the recipes contained herein, and the wonderful cooks who created them.
