A round, as defined in Wikipedia, is "a musical composition in which two or more voices sing exactly the same melody (and may continue repeating it indefinitely), but with each voice beginning at different times so that different parts of the melody coincide in the different voices, but nevertheless fit harmoniously together". The voices singing in a round each contribute a unique timbre, rhythm, tonal quality, and dynamic to the prescribed arrangement, resulting in a complete, playful, and entertaining composition.



I present to you a visual round---based upon the geometry of a square---wherein photographs of common flowers, foliage, and plants follow the same graphic melody (which could be repeated indefinitely). Each image contributes its own color, pattern, texture, rhythm, and/or personality to the overall work---while playing off all others---such that they all fit harmoniously in a complete, playful, and entertaining composition.
