    About the Book

    Edit

This photographic jouney consist of more than 160 color photographs, many of them full-page, documenting the author's personal vision of the land of the Incas, and the indigenous people that inhabit it today.

Excerpt: "In the beginning it was Inti, the Sun God himself who ordered Manco Capac to emerge from Lake Titicaca and found Cuzco. Or was it Sinchi Roca, son of Manco Capac, son of Tici Viracocha, who led the tribe to Cuzco? Regardless of these origin myths transmitted by oral tradition, we know that the Inca began as a small tribe in the city-state of Cuzco in the 12th century. However, it wasn’t until 1438 that the conquest began, with Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui, eventually leading to the formation of Tahuantinsuyu, The Land of the Four Corners, the Empire of the Incas."

Today, we travel much the same roads that the Incas designed and built over 500 years ago, to visit what is left of the mighty Empire and its proud people.
