About the Book
CITY OF LIGHT began in Paris with a fascination for illuminated signs that reveal their true beauty only at night. In 2024, Lucas Antony photographed these beacons across Milan, Mainz, Mexico City, San Francisco, and his hometown, Manaus — once called the “Paris of the Tropics.” Each image is transformed through his signature orange and blue palette, repetition, and exploration of negative space. The 27 photographs, arranged in groups of nine, reflect his belief in the number’s symbolism: the end of a cycle, yet never a final point. This is a meditation on energy, presence, and being light in the midst of darkness.
