About the Creator
Roger P. Watts lives in Oaxaca, Mexico. His mentor was Homer Page, Steichen’s editor for MOMA’s Family of Man. He worked through the Gamma Photo Agency in Paris, and was assistant to Michael Evans and Dirck Halstead at Time Magazine. He did news essays on politics and personalities at the White House and Congress. Published throughout the world, he has photographed for the ACLU, NAACP, social justice agencies, and he was a theatrical photographer in Minneapolis for a decade. He’ s been published in The Sun and Steam. He contributes video memoirs of retired US military for the Library of Congress Veterans History Project, and was photographer for the investigative team of Disability Rights International in Washington DC. After leaving photojournalism, he was a PhD Psychotherapist for 34 years and retired in 2022. He learned French cooking at a Two Star Michelin restaurant in his native Boston, and bores anyone who will listen about his sad relationship as a fan of the Red Sox.
