    About the Book

    Edit

She has always been taught that the red string around her wrist is to keep away bad feelings like anxiety and doubt.

Twelve year old Lila is seriously doubting having a bat mitzvah. At first she is only doing it because her mom is making her, but after meeting very helpful, kind, and patient people, she starts to find reasons to like it. She even starts to love it for a little bit. But soon, she starts to question her faith. Is this really who she is? She manages to get back on track but after a devastating incident she starts to doubt herself. Is this really what she wanted?
