    About the Book

    Edit

This first volume of The Cuba That Lives in Us is a visual homage to Cuba's guajiro, a figure embodying quiet dignity and tireless rural work. In 32 carefully curated images, the author—a Cuban photographer based in Lima—captures scenes summarizing years of artistic exploration, showcasing rice planting traditions, artisanal tobacco cultivation, and offering insights into Cuban rural life and customs. This volume serves as an artistic tribute, preserving in photographs a heritage slowly fading, and highlighting the essence of the island’s rural identity.
