    About the Book

    Edit

Louisiana's coastline has lost over 4,833 square kilometers of land due to coastal erosion, leaving the region vulnerable to hurricanes and floods. This destruction forces people to relocate and affects the fishing industry. Despite restoration efforts, full recovery is unlikely. "Color All Maps New" tells the story of a family witnessing this loss, reflecting on submerged heritage and the tough decision to leave their home. The work emphasizes hope and change, with royalties supporting coastal restoration and Indigenous tribes in Louisiana.
