    About the Book

    Edit

When we talk about La Bretagne – in Breton Breizh – we are talking about steep cliffs and spectacular seascapes. But there is more to see than that. Brittany is also beautiful landscapes, wild, covered with rock formations and many historic towns. The jagged coast of Morbihan, in particular, whispers mysteries of yesteryear. Morbihan is the land of legends. Giants, fairies and mermaids. Enigmatic megaliths. And Arthur, Merlin, Morgane the Fairy and Viviane, Lady of the Lake.

The Côtes du Nord department was created during the French Revolution in 1790. It became the Côtes d'Armor in 1990, meaning "Coasts of the land of the sea". Defying the laws of balance, huge blocks of granite create a unique setting called the Côte de Granit Rose.

Brittany with its ever-changing climate, rich flora and fauna and surrounded by the deep waters of the English Channel and the Atlantic Ocean is the land where myths are born.

    Welcome to Brittany.
