A summer night. A convenience store stick-up gone wrong. At least, that's what it looks like to Korean-Canadian RCMP Detective Sergeant Daniel Shin. But the events growing out of that July night will take Daniel on a journey into the dark heart of gang warfare and ethnic strife in an alternate reality Vancouver where convicted killers (like stick-up artist Sammy Duc Van Jones) are hunted down and executed in public – to the delight of the television audiences who watch the popular hunting shows. Justice will be hard to find in this world, but Daniel is determined to try, even if it means fighting those who are supposed to be on his side.
