    About the Book

    Edit

This book is the first of the 'Voyager's Memo' series. It documented the author's travel in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The author visited several cities in the country, including Sarajevo, Tuzla and Mostar. The aim is to disseminate and share the experience that he went through while being on the road. As simple as that. The book is composed so that it will be as raw as possible. No detailed explanation. No complicated photo editing. Just the photo that the author captured during the period in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). With his phone. Yes. Just the phone. The book is not intended to examine the history or highlight certain narratives. Instead, the aim is to immortalize and preserve the journey. Some of them have meanings. But it is up to the readers to define it and the author leaves some of the unexplained as an artistic expression. This book is also about documenting the 'off the beaten path' travel in BiH. Things that are rudimentary but interesting to be seen from the outsiders' perspective. Maybe the cuisine, the clocks, or even the signboards. This work is written with the 'diary tone' as some of the pieces were written when the author was still on the road in BiH. Remember, it is not about the photography quality. But instead, it is about the picture itself. The message. The idea. The notion. The zeitgeist. The book includes forewords by two Bosnian Automotive Experts, Zlatan Ajanović and Azra Habibovic.
