A chapter is dedicated to John C. Beard and Mary Ann Batis Beard, parents of Lee Beard. Including information on the birthplace of John C. Beard known as Belmont, located in Augusta County, Virginia.

There is also a chapter dedicated to John Kircher and Elizabeth Rahn Kircher, parents of Lena Kircher Beard as well as sections with photos of each of Lena's siblings. This chapter also contains many Kircher family photos.
